Gladys Boone Bartlett, 80, of the Arbuckle Community, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at the Brian Center in Spruce Pine. Jackie was a US Army Veteran and was a carpenter and painter. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Jap and Opal Proffitt Phillips.
